as Alcalde Ignacio de Soto
John G. Hertzler was born in Port Royal (Pennsylvania). Since his father was in the Air Force, he often moved as a child. Among other things his family lived in Texas, Casablanca, Omaha, and Maryland. First John was successful some years as a football player, and after high school he played for Bucknell University (left defensive end / outside more linebacker), before he turned to theater. I (DrMM) have started calling him, "The Man of Many Stage Names" because he's also been credited as Garman Hertzler, J.G. Hertzler, John G. Hertzler, John Garman Hertzler and John Noah Hertzler. Also notable as Martok on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the only Klingon I've ever actually liked. :)
