Welcome to The Fox's Den. This webpage is dedicated to the New World version of Zorro that aired on the Family Channel in the early 1990's. If you're looking for information on any other version of Zorro, you won't find it here. Instead, look at the links page.

By the way, this page is still completely under construction

DrMM's spiel about Zorro and how this webpage came about.

I suppose you may be wondering not only, why Zorro, but why this Zorro. Well, I've always been a sucker for the whole "superhero" idea. I love the idea of a solitary figure fighting for justice in an injust world. When Zorro came on I was in sixth grade. I've always been interested in swords, and sword fighting, so the combination of a sword fighting superhero immediatly attracted me and it rapidly developed into my first true obsession (slightly after my not-quite Batman with Adam West obsession, and before my current anime and Deep Space Nine obsession -- and I wish Duncan Regehr would have been any character but Shakaar because as a die-hard Odo/Kira fan, I'm obligated to hate him). I even started taping the episodes, and kept them despite my familys assurances that I'd decide to tape over them later. As I grew older and did the whole teenage thing, the romance between Victoria and Zorro appealed to me, and I must admit to developing a bit of a crush on Felipe. *blush* Another thing I liked was that unlike most macho muscle-bound heros Diego was a bookworm, who used his brain before he used his brawn. He made having knowledge seem cool, which as an avid bookworm I appreciated, and still do. So, that's why I liked this Zorro. I'm sure the other Zorro series are good, but I haven't seen much of the Disney one (although the sets are supurb), and I haven't bothered to see the new one with Antonio Banderes yet because I desperatly try to avoid the whole "Hollywood Blockbuster" scene. I will when it's become less cool.

Why did I do this page? Well, when I was looking around the Internet at various Zorro webpages, I discovered that there were very few webpages that had any information about this series. Most focused on either the Disney version, Zorro in general, or had 200 images of Antonio Bandaras on the same page (peppered with hormonal teenage girl comments about how hot he is). So, I decided this series needed a good, general information page, which hopefully I'll succeed in creating. Boy, I'm glad I never taped over those tapes :)
