Dark Heaven

Dark Heaven is a good Harry Potter doujinshi circle. However, I sometimes get the feeling that the artist uses the doujinshi more to display her cover art than to draw comics. True, her cover art is amazing. It's the reason why I buy her doujinshi. When she does draw, she draws very well. It's just that the comic sections are very short compared to other doujinshi circles. I do think that the cover art makes buying these doujinshi a good decision.

Title: Angels Unknown 01 Circle: Dark Heaven Art: B/A Rating: PG Pairing: none Number of Pages: 14 Other Info: Published in March, 2002. This doujinshi has a beautiful cover (I love this artists color work). Alas, the inside isn't quite as good. The art is good, just not as good as the cover. This is a very short doujinshi made up of several different comedy bits. They include Sirius changing into Homer Simpson and Snape thinking "Yes Slytherin" while Harry thinks "Not Slytherin" during the sorting. Of course, I think this doujinshi is worth buying simply for the cover.

Title: The Saint who Atones for it (??? no Seija) Circle: Dark Heaven Art: A Rating: PG Pairing: Riddle/Harry Number of Pages: 28 Other Info: Published in May, 2003. This doujinshi is fairly good and well drawn. I love the color works by this circle. I do wonder why the artist gave Riddle pointy ears in this doujinshi. I keep waiting for Elrond to drop by. This doujinshi is several short stories about Tom Riddle and Harry. Harry is interacting more with diary-Riddle than he wants to admit.

Title: The Night When it Cannot Sleep is Because of You Circle: Dark Heaven Art: B/A Rating: PG Pairing: Snape/Harry, Number of Pages: 20 Other Info: Published in March, 2003. This doujinshi consists of several short comedy stories. It includes Snape's secret tattoo (not the Dark Mark) and Lupin's picture of Neville's Boggart Snape that he sends to Harry as a present. The art in this is good, although some stories are drawn better than others. Again, I really like the color art by this circle.

Title: White Rose Virginity Circle: Dark Heaven Art: B/A Rating: PG Pairing: Snape/Harry, Riddle/Harry Number of Pages: 16 Other Info: Published in May, 2002. A5 size (larger than normal). I get the impression that this doujinshi is designed mainly to show off the cover art because that's the best part of the doujinshi. This doujinshi has very little inside content. There are a few character drawings and a couple of short gag stories but no spectacular stories. If you get this doujinshi, get it for the cover art, which is as amazing as all Dark Heaven cover art is.
